On his trip to Singapore, the Danish Minister for Business and Growth, Mr. Ole Sohn, aims at investigating successful Danish business and growth strategies in the region and support strategic cooperations. Therefore, he was interested to meet DHI Singapore.

We hosted a meeting with the Danish minister and the newly appointed Danish Ambassador to Singapore, Ms. Berit Basse, on September 1, at the DHI Ballast Water Technology Innovation Centre.

During the meeting, Mr. Sohn and the other participants learned about the DHI Singapore success story and especially the generation of new business opportunities through the investment in our Research Centre. “With our expertise and experience, we hope to support Mr. Sohn in his effort to further the collaboration between Singapore and Denmark within the marine and maritime sector”, comments Ole Larsen, Director of DHI’s Research Centre in Singapore.

On his visit to Singapore, Ole Sohn also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport, Singapore, to strengthen maritime cooperation and relations between the two countries.
