We were invited by TUV NEL to introduce the newly launched Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) to the oil & gas sector. TUV NEL, among others, performs Engineering Training Courses in Scotland and throughout the UK.

We were invited by TUV NEL to introduce the newly launched Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) to the oil & gas sector. TUV NEL, among others, performs Engineering Training Courses in Scotland and throughout the UK.

TUV NEL – in collaboration with us – has been working on monitoring technologies. This EU pilot programme was presented at TUV NEL’s ‘Produced Water & Environmental Conference’ in Aberdeen on 26 June 2012.

ETV is basically a third party assessment of the performance of a given technology. The objective of ETV is to promote innovative environmental technologies. We do this by providing technology developers, manufacturers and investors access to third party validation of the performance of their technologies. This in turn helps to promote new technologies and gain them entries into the market.

A verification body performs in cooperation with a test body verification of a technology – by testing against pre-defined performance claims. Once the process is completed, a verification statement is issued. The statement is short contains an easy-to-understand summary of the verification results and can be effectively used by the vendor in marketing technology.

In addition to a Statement of Verification, a more detailed verification report and test report will also be prepared.
