Providing regulatory advice in compliance with European Biocidal Products Regulation

DHI has provided consultancy services and advice to the ECA Consortium in achieving regulation compliance to the European Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). The BPR is a body that regulates the placing on the market of all biocidal products.

As a regulatory adviser, DHI has facilitated the ECA Consortium by performing data gap analysis to pinpoint data and information endpoints to be covered from external sources. In addition, DHI has also arranged and prepared a complete active substance dossier on active chlorine generated from sodium chloride to be submitted to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

With the submission of the dossier by DHI and the subsequent approval by ECHA, members of the Consortium are listed as approved suppliers of biocidal active substance and products. This successful listing secured the basis for future business of members of the ECA Consortium.
