We join the World Ocean Council

By collaborating with the diverse international ocean business leadership community that comprises the World Ocean Council (WOC), we aim to better engage in sustainable development and stewardship of the marine and coastal environment.

Our membership in the WOC fits well with our efforts to help solve the world’s toughest challenges in water environments. By working with the WOC, we aim to contribute to major commercial developments in relation to the sustainable use of the world’s oceans.

‘We will be part of the ocean business community in a new way. This will enable us to engage even more with large private companies working at sea that want to reduce environmental risks and protect nature’, says Andreas Brogaard Buhl, Head of the Ecology and Environment Department for DHI Denmark. ‘Our knowledge and software can certainly help them achieve this’.

‘DHI and other solution providers are joining the WOC in order to better tackle the environment and sustainability issues associated with increased coastal and ocean development. The WOC provides a unique international, multi-sectoral forum to catalyse collaboration and leadership on addressing these challenges’, notes Paul Holthusm, WOC Chief Executive Officer.
